LOCATION: Chantilly High School

New this year: High School Switcher Academy
High School Switcher Academy
Who is this for?
This program is intended for current high school students (rising 10th-12th) who are interested in and willing to switch to specialty instruments that are sometimes absent or in critical shortage for their high school programs. This year, we will be offering this program for students who are interested in learning the OBOE, BASSOON, FRENCH HORN and UPRIGHT STRING BASS.
How will it be run?

Participants will be in small groups/1v1 instrument techniques class with a professional teacher on that instrument. HS students would attend one class each day, lasting 45-60 minutes. These students would be grouped only with other high school age switchers, not mixed with younger students.
When will it happen?

Classes will be scheduled on regular camp days between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm (for string bass) or 9:00 am and 1:00 pm (for oboe, bassoon and french horn). Exact times will be determined based on camp enrollment and instructor schedules during the camp day, so please be sure you are available during these whole time periods. Time slots will not be flexible, once set.
How much will it cost?

$120 - as a new pilot program, we are offering a HUGE DEAL for our initial participants! Students will receive 12-15 hours of 1v1 or small group instruction from a professional instructor, which is equivalent t0 3-4 months of private instruction, which could cost up from $500-$900.00.
